A Look at Life

Today is the last day of the work week for me because I have Friday, July 4th off. We’re not really sure what we’re doing tomorrow and fireworks were mentioned but I really don’t want to throw our boy off his sleep schedule just so that he can be kickin’, screamin’ and crying his way through july 4, 2008.

Anyway, i have to take the boy to my mom’s house today so i won’t have much time to post so I just wanted to get a short one in before getting swamped with work…anyway, have a safe and fun fourth of july and catch ya after the break!

After today, i’ll have one day left to go for this week and the july 4th weekend for me begins! But, before that, I wanted to share our most recent photos/vids with all of you out there…Here’s the link, check it out when you can:

Anyway, today i’m ahead of schedule because I actually got up BEFORE the alarm for some odd reason. I find that i do that every so often and that will be a welcome change if I can do it all the time without needing the sleep…

In other news, we may actually get a crib by the end of this week…by a remarkable messup USAbaby has been unable to deliver our crib for the past 6 - 7 months…our little boy has been unfortunately living out of a pack and play..oh, well, he doesn’t know the difference and maybe when the crib comes, he’ll sleep even better…

Well, i’m gonna continue getting ready, but for now, take care and talk to you all later!

I’m falling behind on uploading photos and vids of our son to the flickr gallery. It’s really bad because this time I think that there are over 70 photos plus the videos I need to post…Last nite I came to the conclusion that I really need to schedule some time to upload the photos immediately after I take them or do them asap because if I wait (like I did this time…), they’ll just pile up and be a pain in the butt…and I’ll procrastinate on getting them up there…

In any case, yesterday marked the end of phase 3 of our project. It was the last day the project manager is officially on staff…From here on out, we’re on our own. I don’t think that we can manage this project successfully without a third party contractor…I think that there are just things that an outside party can see which we as “insiders” just aren’t capable of seeing…

anyway, we’ll see how this goes…we have a new person starting today and interviews for another position plus one more starting in August…busy busy busy!

Ok, so it’s Monday once again, but the difference is that it’s a short week, we only work till thursday, so we get a long weekend! Yeah! But, before the weekend can come, we have LOTS to do…we have some new schools coming on board to our application and we need to make sure we backup some data over the next few days…So, i’m actually in the middle of getting ready to work because mondays are rushed anyway and i seem to be a bit behind schedule…

Other than that, nothing major is happening…just doing the family thing over the weekend…and with Aaron turning 5 months on Sunday, time is really going by fast nowadays…anyway, he’s getting to be a really big boy…we weighed him over the weekend, he is about 15 lbs but we’re not sure how long, but we hope that’s a good weight for his age…

anyway, we also attended a first birthday party, i’ve gotta post some pics…i’m soo behind, i’ll post here when i put them up in my flickr account, till then….TTFN! take care and have a great day!

Today marks the end of an era…My Honda Accord is slated to be sold today and I hope it will go to someone who can fix her up and take good care of her….If you haven’t been keeping up, my car was hit on the side of the road while it was parked…No one was in it thankfully, however the insurance co. declared it a total wreck..the car is 13 years old for goodness sake…

Anyway, I am supposed to meet the buyer today and he’s not quite giving me what i originally asked for, however, at this point i’ll take whatever he can give me…i’m not being stubbon…

I’ll probably take some photos of her and post em to my flickr gallery so that I’ll always remember her…she’s served me well these past 5/6 years…

In other news, this weekend is the honpa hongwangi bon dance…we may be going to the festivities but I’m not sure of what day we’re going…in any case, if we go, it’ll be our boy’s first ever bon dance, we’ll be sure to take lots of photos…watch for those to be posted too…

Today is the second time, Grandma is going to watch our boy and since the first time was soo traumatic for her (ie. him crying…), she went out and bought a swing….a HUGE one to say the least, in fact it takes up her whole living room…

Anyway, i just got finished feeding and these days are never relaxing for me, but at the end of the day, this is a whole lot easier…but i’m gonna get going for now and catch u all tomorrow…btw, my honda will be sold tomorrow and as of Friday afternoon, i won’t have a car, i think i’ll be able to borrow one from my dad…

Well, it’s finally wednesday and we’re only halfway through the week…anyway, today SHOULD be fun because we have a luncheon for Glenn (our project manager) at the Hawaii Prince Hotel. In any case, it should be a good time and i’m looking forward to it, but on the other hand, that means we have less time to actually get down to business…  :(

Anyway, i’ve been counting down till the new iPhone….and if i calculated correctly, there are 21 days left…

Oh my, i can’t believe this week is limping along soo slowly. Is it wednesday yet…I am trying to get ready for work and get some blogging done but it’s taking me longer than usual to get my ideas on the website.

In any case, it may be just that there’s not too much to write but I just feel that I should write an entry or i’ll get lazy…So, in other news, i think that my mom is going to pick up a infant swing for our son as she’s beginning to watch him nowadays..so far it’s only one day but he can be a handful so she thinks that a swing is the end all be all solution to her problems…we’ll see…we don’t use a swing here and i really don’t want him getting used to ONLY sleeping in a swing…

oh well, what can you do…ah, these are minor problems…and that’s all i have to enter for now…

Well, the weekend was practically sent searching for a used/new car at the Toyota and Honda dealerships, respectively. First, we went to the used Toyota lot, then we went to the Scion dealer up the street, followed by the new Toyota City. We are mostly looking at a Matrix or Corolla, so right now it’s the space vs. power thing…

Then, on Sunday, we spent some time looking at Honda Fits. Anyway, other than that, we still haven’t decided on any one car and I’m trying to see my Honda Accord…I posted the ad to craigslist last nite and already got 3 hits…amazing…maybe i’ve priced it too low…LOL

anyway, i’ll let you all know what we end up doing…

Today our son is staying at Grandma’s house. It’ll be a first since she hasn’t watched any other kids since my brother and I were born…I’m sure i’ll be getting A LOT of calls today…but that’s ok, she just needs a refresher and i’m sure it’ll come back to her just like it was yesterday..maybe it’s like riding a bike…they say you never forget…Anyway…we’ll see

Other than that I wanted to post my bottle feeding tip of the day: It seems that if you apply a little pull the bottle slightly away during feeding babies will tend to suck more strongly and for a longer period of time..i’m not sure that this applies to all kids, but it sure is working for our boy…i’ll keep you posted if i have more tips…
